I am eternally grateful to have discovered a passion in my life…playing the harp. I absolutely enjoy the harp’s elegant lines, mellow sound, and responsive touch. It has also been a windfall to earn money while doing something I enjoy so much. The title of this CD is based on the ABBA song of the same name. "Slipping through my fingers all the time…I try to capture every minute…The feeling in it… Sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture…And save it from the funny tricks of time… Slipping through my fingers all the time.” Now that I am on the downhill half of a century, I understand “slipping through my fingers” more fully. Time is relentlessly slipping away. My parents are getting older, and it has taken me a long while to realize that I, too, have aged…my children are grown and I now have grandchildren! How did life slip by without me noticing? Just as the notes from the harp strings slip through my fingers, so do the waning years of my life. It has been and will continue to be a joyous journey that I hope lasts for many years to come! The musical selections for “Slipping Through My Fingers” follow my own preferences in music: a variety of Light Classical, Celtic, Popular and Contemporary pieces adapted to my playing style. | |

Altogether Lovely is a name attributed to Christ in The Song of Solomon 5:16. "Yea, He is Altogether Lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem". During the Christmas season there are few things as lovely as sacred music performed in remembrance of the Savior's birth. These selections, played on the harp and accompanied by the violin/viola and cello, are in keeping with the spirit of this most holy and glorious season. | |
